How It All Began

In the late 1990s, we traveled through Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine. We were inspired by the women we met – their warmth, openness, and genuine interest in meaningful conversation. Yet one topic kept coming up: how difficult it was to meet someone to truly share life with.

At the same time, in Germany and other Western European countries, many men were asking themselves similar questions – wondering where they might meet a woman whose values and outlook on life truly resonate with their own.

That’s how the idea of InterFriendship was born: to create a place where people from different countries could connect intentionally – through honest communication and mutual respect.

In 1999, InterFriendship went online. The name reflects what we believe in: friendship between cultures can be the beginning of something meaningful.

What has always mattered to us:

• a safe space where people can feel comfortable being themselves
• open and respectful communication
• free participation for women and a clear, transparent system for men

Over the years, InterFriendship has grown together with its members.

It has become an established international platform for cross-cultural dating, recognized in the German-speaking region for its consistent quality and long-standing presence.

But for us, numbers and ratings have never been the most important thing.

What truly matters are the people.
Conversations that started with a single message. Couples who decided to build their future together. Messages of gratitude from members who found something meaningful here – these stories are the heart of InterFriendship.

In 2015, we completely redesigned the website to make it modern and easy to use. And today, in 2026, we continue to develop the platform – creating new opportunities for thoughtful, sincere connections across borders.

InterFriendship is more than a website.
